History and Territory
ARCH of Raleigh and ARCH of Cary were formerly joined as an affiliate of TORCH but as Catholic Homeschooling has grown in our area and as word spread of our support group, we found the numbers of
our group had become too large for available meeting accomodations. Additionally, we decided to manage our support groups
more locally, keeping the dues paid by members "in house", providing our own membership cards, newsletters and discounts with
HSLDA. So now our two groups provide separate activities under the new name of ARCH.
The Raleigh Chapter handles mostly Northern Wake and Cary's group handles Southern Wake. There is no hard or fast rule
though on where you live and which ARCH is yours! You can choose either one or both! Our two groups still get
together for several annual activities such as the Science Fair, Spelling Bee, the Teen Social Group (13+),
and Homeschool Information Night.
